ThingSpace landing page (not designed by me)
ThingSpace
Role: UI Designer, Information Architecture
Challenge
Unifying the ThingSpace web design. The design for this website lacked a uniform standard due to the many different project/page owners leading their own initiatives with their own teams. My team was tasked to revisit many of the ThingSpace pages and update both content and design for a better visual experience.
Project Objectives:
• Create and design re-usable templates for our new CMS system that could be used for new pages in development
• Update interface design according to new content, imagery, and requirements provided by stakeholders
• Develop a generic yet aesthetic style for future pages to follow in design
• Design newer pages for additional features/services ThingSpace offered
Refresh the design - Information Architecture(IA)
As mentioned, ThingSpace has accumulated a variety of different types of designs. There were a number of repetitive features such as multiple CTAs on a single page that functioned exactly the same. In order to justify our initiative in “cleaning up” ThingSpace, I was tasked to map out the architecture of the site so we could visualize repetitive behavior. This visual also helped show stakeholders and project owners the need to consolidate information in order to improve the users experience throughout the site.

ThingSpace Ready
This year, Verizon secured a number of hardware partnerships for our IoT platform. I updated the ThingSpace Ready webpage to reflect the new hardware they offered as well as partnerships and solutions. This design was made with the components and modules in mind for when we transitioned the ThingSpace site over to our new CMS platform.

Fiserv’s Clover new partnership page
With our expanding IoT platform, Verizon secured a partnership with Fiserv for their IoT needs. I organized the visual content for this page to display key points and benefits of this partnership.

ThingSpace Marketplace checkout flow
With ThingSpace rising in demand, our team created the “ThingSpace Marketplace” for users to checkout or inquire about bulk device orders paired with the appropriate service for their IoT platforms. I designed the checkout flow for the Marketplace basing my designs off of existing designs on ThingSpaces’ sister sites.
